Goodbye For Now, Laurie Frankel

I attempted to read this one but gave up after 37 pages. Here's why. It just isn't pulling me in. With almost zero conflict, I'm not invested in any of the characters. More than that, my M.O. is to check readers reviews if I'm unsure whether to keep reading a book. More than one reader, who self-identified as older-than-60, said that they felt depressed by the end of the book. Honestly, there are a lot of books that both sadden and entertain me. I need both.

That said, I love two of Frankel's other books: This Is How It Always Is, and One Two Three. So I'm still a Frankel fan, just not a fan of this book.
